Hyderabad Airport Metro Ltd. (HAML) issued an invitation for bids for the 31 km Airport Express Line’s civil construction and system procurement.
The Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 project will build this semi-high-speed rail line around the Outer Ring Road (ORR) of Hyderabad to connect Mindspace Junction with Rajiv Gandhi International (Shamshabad) Airport via 10 stations-9 elevated and 1 underground.
At the airport inside Hyderabad Aerocity, trains on this route will run on an elevated bridge for 28.5 km and underground for 2.5 km. With trains moving at a top speed of 120 kmph, it is anticipated that it will take 20 minutes to travel from Gachibowli in the city to RGIA.
