Electronics maker bags power transmission and solar projects worth Rs 2,000 crore

Power transmission, railway and solar project orders of Rs 2,000 crore have been placed with Godrej & Boyce unit Godrej Electricals & Electronics.

“The Power Infrastructure and Renewable Energy (PIRE) business of Godrej Electricals & Electronics, a business unit of Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd, has secured orders worth over Rs 2,000 crore from Power Transmission, Railways, and Solar Projects,” according to a company release.

Engineering procurement and construction (EPC) projects for EHV substations of 400 kV and 765 kV across India, a GIS substation with 220 kV underground cable in Mumbai, and a 132 kV substation project in Nepal are among the projects, according to the statement.

The company has received a contract for a 20MW ground-mounted solar project in West Bengal in the solar sector.
