To produce plastic parts for electric scooters, injection moulding companies United Industries Plastic and VTK Industries established a production facility in Tamil Nadu under the joint venture (JV) name UI Auto Plastic.
The factory was opened on May 9, 2023, on a 10-acre location in Bargur SIPCOT, Pochampalli, Tamil Nadu, with an initial expenditure of Rs 70 crore.
In order to address the rising need for high-quality automobile parts such external parts, seat base assemblies, charger and motor components, battery holders, and others in the quickly growing market for electric scooters, the plant will produce a variety of plastic components.
