Cisco, a US manufacturer of networking equipment, announced manufacturing plans for Tamil Nadu, saying the business is optimistic about the country’s market and its future.
The corporation stated in a statement that it has a combined export and local production goal of over USD 1 billion.
Robbins, who is now on the Delhi leg of a multi-city visit to India this week, described the atmosphere in India as “incredible”.
“India has made tons on progress on digitisation. The ambition of India is very clear and momentum I felt here is incredible,” he said.
As the company announced its manufacturing plans for India, Robbins said Cisco will have the first products off the line in 12 months, and will expand to a wider array of Made-in-India products over a period of time.
