Kerala to get its second rubber park in Kollam

The Rubber Board and the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) will work with the Kerala government to construct a rubber park in the Kollam district.

The second phase of the park will be built at Priavanthur, according to Rubber Park M.D. George V. James, with an emphasis on creating infrastructure facilities like power, water, and transportation to support industrial units that make rubber and rubber-based products.

The Pollution Control Board (PCB) has designated the rubber-based and rubber-wood industries as being environmentally safe, thus only those will be allowed in the park.

The park is situated in an environmentally delicate area, so no common effluent treatment plant has been built, George added.
