Jakson Group, a provider of energy and infrastructure, and Jinchen Corp, a Chinese turnkey supplier of sophisticated solar module manufacturing equipment and technology, have inked a contract.
The alliance is a step towards Jakson Group’s goals to increase its solar PV manufacturing capacities in India up to 3 GW yearly and will reinforce its plans to serve international markets, according to a news release from the company.
The installation of an additional 600 MW is anticipated to be finished in collaboration with Jinchen Corp. by the middle of 2023. This 3 GW total manufacturing capacity will be accomplished during the upcoming years in stages.
The agreement will increase Jakson Group’s current 500 MW facility in Greater Noida, bringing the total capacity for module production to 1.1 GW.
“With this partnership, we envisage getting closer to our near-term goal of achieving a solar manufacturing capacity of 3 GW by FY26. It will help us meet the growing global demand for solar energy as we plan to export solar modules to international markets too,” said Bharat Gupta, Head, of Solar International Business, Jakson Group.
