Omega Seiki Mobility likely to establish$200 million EV factories in Tamil Nadu

Omega Seiki Mobility is in talks with three States, including Tamil Nadu, about establishing two electric vehicle plants in South India for an investment of $100 million each.

The business already runs EV factories in Pune’s Chakan and Faridabad. The potential for expansion in the southern market as well as the possibility of reducing logistical costs are driving the idea to build additional factories in the region.

“We are looking to set up a mega EV production unit for electric three-wheelers and a new factory for electric commercial vehicles in this region. We are in talks with both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka governments. We have also looked at Andhra Pradesh,” said UdayNarang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility.
