Alleima, an international manufacturer and supplier of heating systems and stainless steel, has opened a new plant for hydraulic and instrumentation tubing at its Mehsana Mill in Gujarat, western India.
The facility, which is a part of Alleima’s bigger development effort unveiled in 2017, will satisfy India’s growing need for locally produced goods. A Heat Exchanger cold finish Tube Capacity, which was split into two pieces, is expected to be fully operational by 2023.
Alleima first established operations in India in 1983 in Pune, and the Mehsana manufacturing facility has since grown in importance. The factory has been modernized and expanded, increasing production and availability of high-quality seamless stainless steel and high alloy tubes.
The new factory will expand the Hydraulic and Instrumentation Tube capacity to meet the growing market for infrastructure around natural gas, enabling the transition towards cleaner alternative fuels and meeting increased demand from the Chemical and Petrochemical segment in India.
