Stalin lays foundation stone for new building at Chennai hospital

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin laid the cornerstone for a brand-new structure at Kolathur’s Periyar Nagar Government Peripheral Hospital in Chennai.

The anticipated cost of the three-story facility with dedicated treatment wards for the disabled is Rs 71.8 crore.

There were initially only 100 beds in the hospital, which has been operating in Kolathur for more than 37 years.

Stalin, the chief minister, had already vowed to renovate it, and in August 2021, a 300-bed hospital was built there.
