Berger Paints invests in “largest ever manufacturing plant” at Uttar Pradesh

The largest manufacturing facility owned by Berger Paints is situated at Sandila in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. With a total installed capacity of 33,000Mt/month, the new facility can produce putty, construction chemicals, 15,000Mt of water-based paint, and 4,800Mt of solvent-based paint. Berger Paints has invested more over Rs 1,000 crore in the factory, which began commercial production in February and was virtually launched by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on March 5. Berger Paints has been conducting business in India for 100 years. Commenting on the development, Abhijit Roy, Managing Director and CEO of Berger Paints, said that it took more than 6.1 million man-hours to complete the massive unit. “While producing a vast range of products, the plant happens to be a zero-liquid-discharge plant and can be run entirely on solar power,” he added.
