J.P. Chemicals and Pharma’s Synthetic Organic Chemicals Mfg. Expansion Project

J.P. Chemicals and Pharma is set to embark on a synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing expansion project in Sarigam, Umbergaon, Valsad, Gujarat, by adding an adjacent plot to its existing infrastructure. The project aims to increase the production capacity of synthetic organic chemicals from 5 MT/month to 395 MT/month, with a total production capacity of 800 MT/month (400 MT/month- Inorganic (Existing) and 395 MT/month- Synthetic Organic chemicals). The estimated cost of the project is Rs.21 million, and the construction activity is scheduled to begin in October 2023 and conclude by December 2024. As of February 2023, J.P. Chemicals and Pharma has submitted the proposal with its Terms of Reference (ToR) to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, and it awaits the first stage of clearance. Upon receiving this clearance, the company will present a detailed project report for final environmental clearance. Work on the project will commence only after obtaining this clearance, subject to the state pollution control board’s consent in adherence to the regulatory framework.
