Plug-and-play model to come at proposed EV park in Hosur

In an effort to draw in more capital for the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) industry, Tamil Nadu is nearly finished with the land acquisition for the state’s first 300-acre EV park in Shoolagiri, on the outskirts of this industrial city. The state also intends to provide a plug-and-play business model to those setting up their units. The State Industrial Promotion Company (SIPCOT), which is building Hosur’s third industrial estate, has already finished the process of acquiring nearly 800 acres of the intended 1,025 acres, where the EV park would be situated. Three housing colonies and 363 different industries are housed on the 1,235.86 and 856.67 acres, respectively, of the two SIPCOT estates that are now in operation.
