BPCL will use its full capacity to replace a portion of the captive demand that are now satisfied by grey hydrogen sources. This week will see the opening of price bids for the construction of Bharat Petroleum Corporation’s (BPCL) green hydrogen unit in Madhya Pradesh. The company’s representatives stated that the project’s final award would be made by March or early April of this year. The biggest green hydrogen plant in India to date, a 20 mega watt unit from BPCL is being built in Madhya Pradesh. “We have received interest from six to eight firms,” said Dibyendu Sarkar, general manager-renewables of the company, who spoke on the sidelines of CII Green Conclave in Mumbai.
