Telangana government signs MoU with SGD Pharma and Corning Inc

To bring cutting-edge technology and manufacturing know-how to the area, the state of Telangana announced a future partnership between SGD Pharma, a global manufacturer of pharmaceutical primary packaging, and Corning Incorporated. By this partnership, SGD Pharma and Corning will combine their respective strengths in the production and conversion of glass vials. This will safeguard SGD Pharma’s tubing capacities to offer primary packaging to its Indian and worldwide customers from Telangana State. Almost 150 permanent employment and more than 300 subcontracted positions could be created in Mahabubnagar by the planned project, which is expected to cost around Rs 500 crore. Early commercial production could start around 2024.
