Bristol Myers Squibb to invest Rs 800 crore in Hyderabad

An investment of Rs 800 crore will be made by Bristol Myers Squibb, the top pharmaceutical business in the world, to build this state-of-the-art facility, according to a Telangana government press release. The declaration was made following a meeting between Samit Hirawat, Executive Vice-President, Global Drug Development at BMS, and Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao. Hirawat was in the city to attend BioAsia 2023. According to a BMS announcement, the business intends to launch operations in Hyderabad later in 2023, with the potential to hire 1,500 individuals over the following few years to work on cutting-edge R&D and digital projects. Rama Rao said, “I am delighted to welcome Bristol Myers Squibb to the vibrant ecosystem of Hyderabad. It is indeed a matter of pride that BMS, which is one of the most innovative and world leading biopharmaceutical companies, has chosen Hyderabad and I strongly believe this partnership with BMS is a strategic one.”
