The board of EID Parry, a manufacturer of sugar, has approved an expenditure of Rs 87 crore to increase ethanol capacity by scaling up output at its distillery business. Murugappa Group company reported a solo profit after tax for the three months ending in October 2022 of Rs 16 crore as opposed to Rs 18 crore the previous year. In comparison to the same period last year, the current quarter’s operating revenue was $727 million as opposed to $686 million. The standalone PAT increased to Rs 114 crore for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2022, from Rs 58 crore recorded in the same time last year.
