Around 11 companies have submitted 31 bids for the civil construction of the Mysuru-Kushalnagar motorway in Karnataka. The project will cost Rs. 3,500 crore to complete. The National Roads Authority of India sends the bids for technical evaluation (NHAI). The 93-km Srirangapatna-Guddehosur National Highway would be built in two sections, from Srirangapatna to Periyapatna and from Periyapatna to Guddehosur, running parallel to the current NH-275. The access-controlled, four-lane Kushalnagar highway would connect to the Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway and cut the distance between Madikeri and Bengaluru’s travel time even more. The centre recently granted a budget of Rs 909.86 crore for this project.
