The Gujarat government and Mettube Copper India Private Limited, the Indian division of the Malaysian copper tube manufacturer Mettube, have inked a contract for the establishment of a cutting-edge copper tube manufacturing facility at Sanand in the Ahmedabad district.
By January 2024, the plant should be operational. “Fifth-generation copper tubes” will be produced at the factory that will be built in the Sanand-II industrial area for use in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
According to a formal release from the state government, the facility is being established in response to incentives offered by the federal government to encourage copper tube manufacture throughout the nation.
