The Maharashtra government intends to construct a drone hub and manufacturing cluster project at Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district.
The government received a proposal for the project from Mumbai-based strategic think-tank Bramha Research Foundation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10,000-acre AURIC and the first greenfield industrial smart city in September 2019, which is also part of the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor.
AURIC anticipates global investments worth Rs 70,000 crore over the next ten years, which will likely generate three lakh jobs.
