Linxon India was awarded the contract from Chennai Metro Rail Limited to instal power supply and overhead equipment for corridors 3 and 5 of the phase II project (CMRL).
The project entails commissioning the electrical works for providing power supply and overhead equipment in the 37 elevated stations of phase II, which include nine stations in corridor 3 (Sholinganallur-Sipcot-2), which spans 9.38 kilometres, and 28 elevated stations in corridor 5 (CMBT-Sholinganallur), which span 29.05 kilometres.
The project will provide power supply with overhead equipment (OHE) functions at 37 elevated stations, nine in corridor 3 and 28 in corridor 5.
