In February, Prime Minister NarendraModi will dedicate to the nation the airport that is being built on the outskirts of Vijyapura.
Karnataka Minister GovindKarjol said that the PM during his recent visit to Kalaburgi has agreed to inaugurate the airport next month.
He added that the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Horti lift irrigation project worth Rs 2,700 crore.
Sources said that the BJP government is keen to get the new facility inaugurated before the announcement of elections to the assembly which are expected in March-April this year.
