Novus Green constructs India’s largest floating solar plant using glass-to-glass modules

Novus Green Energy Systems Ltd of Hyderabad, a provider of solar solutions, announced the installation and synchronisation of India’s largest floating solar power station at the Singareni thermal plant in Mancherial using transparent glass-to-glass modules.

The project, according to Novus Green Energy Systems, is the country’s largest floating PV plant, with a total power of 15 MW (AC) / 19.5MW (DC) and phase I, which has been completed, has a power of 5 MW/6.5MW (DC).

This plant, according to the company, is the first in India to use transparent glass-to-glass solar modules. These modules are more efficient than standard ones and can be used on a much larger scale.

SingareniColleries Ltd floated the project via e-bid, and it was then awarded to Novus Green Energy Systems and Ilios Power.
