Google to build 381,000 sq ft data centre in Navi Mumbai by 2025

Google is planning to build a data centre in Navi Mumbai measuring 3,81,000 square feet by 2025.

Alphabet Inc’s company has signed a lease agreement with Raiden Infotech India for the opening of the data centre for a period of 28 years in order to expand the cloud infrastructure to meet the growing demand in India.

The data centre will be housed in an eight-story building with a basement and a roof, and construction is expected to begin within the next two years.

The stamp duty on the property is more than Rs 7.26 crore. Google will pay Rs 1,144 crore over the first 10 years with a rental escalation of 1.75 per cent every 12 years. Previously, it had acquired a 464,000-square-foot facility at the Adani Centre in Noida on a 10-year lease.
