The Jaipur Metro Railway Corporation (JMRC) last week cleared the way for the start of work on the Jaipur Metro extension by appointing the DMRC as the general consultant for Lines 1C and 1D.
The consultant, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), will now issue tenders and begin work on the extension project.
This procedure will save a significant amount of time and allow the extension work to be completed more quickly.
DMRC will be in charge of constructing metro lines in the Pink City for the second time. Previously, the metro agency served as a consultant for the development of Phase-1A, which runs from Mansarovar to Chandpole.
However, for the extension project under phase 1B, the JMRC itself had floated tenders and then awarded it to a Taiwan-based turnkey contractor.
