Under the second phase of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) plan, the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has requested applications for incentives from solar manufacturers prepared to set up gigawatt-scale production facilities for high-efficiency solar modules in India.
If manufacturers commit to building facilities that produce at least solar cells and modules, comply with minimum manufacturing capacity requirements, and adhere to module performance standards, they will be eligible to apply for incentives. This is true for manufacturers who establish any production facilities based on solar photovoltaic (PV) technology.
