The Khurda Road-Bolangir rail line project now has 10.5 km of newly laid wide gauge line between Bichhupali and Jhartarbha, and the Indian Railways has put it into service. The Odisha government has approved Rs 150 crore for the quick completion of the much anticipated project.
Principal Secretary, Commerce and Transport Department, BP Sethi, has ordered state government representatives to deliver the money to the railroads so that the project can be finished sooner.
The 306.25 km Khurda Road-Bolangir railway project has received land at no cost, and the state government is paying 50% of the construction costs.
