Hindustan Oil Exploration a Company begins gas sales from its B-80 field with D2 well

After completing the under-buoy hose repair and reconnecting the hose to the Floating Storage Offloading (FSO) vessel, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited has begun gas sales from its B-80 field with D2 well, located in western offshore.

Since the under-buoy hose was discovered to be damaged in the middle of July 22, gas sales from this field have had to be discontinued. Due to unfavourable weather, a previous attempt to repair proved unsuccessful.

With the aid of experts in Dubai and the assistance of the local diving crew, the company had constructed an additional spool/clamp and finished the repair operation.

Well D-2 produces gas, which is processed at KGB Offshore Installation before being transferred over the ONGC pipeline network to its Hazira Gas Processing facility.
