With a capital investment of Rs. 230 crore, CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited has proposed increasing the manufacturing capacity of motors at its plants in Ahmednagar and Goa.
Low Tension Motors’ (“LT Motors”) current annual capacity of 9.93 lakhs numbers would be increased by the projected expansion to 19.92 lakhs numbers.
Around 80% of the capacity is now being used. The enlargement project will be carried out over a period of four years in two parts, with internal accruals serving as the funding source. The extension is suggested in light of the anticipated rise in the demand for AC motors in the future.
