An international pharmaceutical research and development (R&D) centre has been opened in Ahmedabad by Baxter Pharmaceuticals India.
The centre will accelerate innovation in the field of generic and specialty injectable medications, furthering the company’s purpose of saving and maintaining lives.
In Ahmedabad, the centre was officially opened by Dr. Mahesh Chaubal, Vice President of Pharmaceutical R&D at Baxter International Inc., Alok Sonig, President of Pharmaceuticals at Baxter International, and Dr. Sanju Dhawan, Director of R&D at Baxter Pharmaceuticals India.

The R&D centre features an array of sophisticated equipment and research labs that will focus on pharmaceutical product development and capabilities in therapeutic areas such as critical care, analgesic, renal, cardiovascular anaesthesia, anti-infective and antipyretic.
