The Indian Biogas Association reported receiving Rs 1,400 crore in investment commitments at the Renewable Energy India Expo 2022.
“Indian Biogas Association (IBA), an industry association comprising of operators, manufacturers, and planners of biogas plants, announced that Renewable Energy India Expo 2022 has received the commitment of investment worth Rs 1,400 crore,” an IBA statement said.
It noted that the suggested minimum investment per plant is between Rs. 10 and Rs. 50 crore.
The SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) LOI (Letter of Intent) holders have confirmed 60 SATAT LOIs for the construction of biogas facilities across the nation.
Punjab and Uttar Pradesh received the most applications overall.
