By organising a 25,000 tonne factory through brownfield growth at its current manufacturing facility in Bihar, Ganesh Foundry and Castings Ltd., which produces and sells TMT bars, hopes to more than double its manufacturing capacity. The company has a 20,000-tonne annual manufacturing capacity, and it has been operating at about 75–80% of that capacity.
According to Ashok Kumar Bajoria, MD of Ganesh Foundry and Castings, the company has land available for expansion at the location of its current manufacturing facility and may invest about $20 crore in the expansion. It is anticipated that the difficulty would be resolved by the middle of 2023.
“The demand for TMT bars had witnessed a decline through the Covid interval in 2020, and our capability utilisation dropped to as little as 40 per cent. However then, it began selecting up in 2021 and it’s wanting higher this yr. We cater to the development trade within the north Bihar markets,” Bajoria said.
