Hero MotoCorp announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd to build a nation-wide infrastructure for electric two-wheeler charging.
The two businesses will first install charging infrastructure at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation’s (HPCL) current network of stations as part of the effort, with the possibility of later expanding the partnership for more business prospects.
In order to create a high density EV charging station network across the nation, charging stations will be installed in a few significant cities in the first phase before being expanded to other important markets, according to a statement from Hero MotoCorp.
The two-wheeler major will lead the infrastructure development for the charging network with each charging station featuring multiple fast chargers, including DC and AC chargers that will be available to all two-wheeled EVs, it added.
