Shell India will build 1200 fuel retail locations and 10,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the nation.
Amr Adel, Senior VP, Shell Mobility Asia, stated, “As part of our worldwide strategy within the Shell Group and an integral element of our goal inside the mobility business, to impact the decarbonisation agenda, we would be setting up 10,000 charging points across the country.”
In Bengaluru, Shell unveiled its first EV chargers for India’s two- and four-wheeled vehicle markets. The initial market for Shell’s two-wheeler chargers is India.
The company plans to expand the same to 10,000 charging points by 2030 across its fuel retail outlets and offices, malls, residences among others. By 2025, Shell aims to operate over 500,000 charge points globally.
