Merck announces inauguration of healthcare research & development centre in Bengaluru.
The Merck India R&D Excellence Centre helps treat patients with unmet medical needs all around the world by contributing to the company’s healthcare R&D.
About 300 employees are employed in the German pharmaceutical company’s centre, which will keep growing over the next two years.
“Through the Centre, we will strengthen our presence in healthcare R&D in India, while supporting Merck Group’s global efforts in drug discovery. The Centre in Bangalore aims to establish a one-team culture, delivering critical responsibilities in the drug development journey as well as develop a valuable talent pool,” Suneela Thatte, VP and head of R&D Excellence Centre.
