A second BOPP film line and metallizer project in Indore, with a projected cost of 424 crore, has been approved, according to an announcement from SRF Limited.
The project was introduced on August 25, 2022, with a total capitalization of 446 crore. The installation of a second BOPP film line and metallizer at Indore in the first week of November 2020 had received clearance from the board of directors of SRF Ltd.
It has been proposed to increase capacity by 60,000 MTPA at a cost of Rs. 424 crore by using internal accruals and borrowing.
The expansion was justified by the growing BOPP market in both India and abroad, as well as the requirement to be able to provide customers with services for the whole range of BOPP products.
