Oberoi Group to invest Rs 1,500 Cr in AP projects

The Oberoi Group, a network of upscale hotels, has offered to invest Rs 1,500 crore in a number of projects in Andhra Pradesh, directly employing 1,500 people in the process.

Rajaraman Shankar, President and Chief Operating Officer, met with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office here and indicated interest in investing approximately Rs 1,500 crore in AP, according to the statement.

Rajaraman Shankar gave a presentation on the plans for Oberoi Group Hotels in the State and expressed an interest in opening hotels there as well as in Tirupati, Horsley Hills, Gandikota, Visakhapatnam, and the Paderu region.

“Oberoi Group has come forward to invest Rs 1,500 crore, thereby directly providing employment and employment opportunities to 1,500 people and 11,000 people indirectly. The group is about to build all hotels with seven star facilities,” the release said.
