In order to establish its third R&D centre in India, Daikin would invest 500 crore ($63 million).
The project, which will begin operations in 2023, will be situated near to the company’s air conditioning manufacturing factory in Neemrama, Rajasthan.
Over 250 engineers will work at the 24,000m2 centre, which is dedicated to the creation of products specifically for the Indian market. To help Daikin meet export demand from global markets, it would include 22 testing facilities and labs that will further strengthen Daikin’s manufacturing capabilities.
In addition to the company’s two already-established centres in Hyderabad and Neemrana, this will be Daikin’s third development centre in India.
