Inox Wind gets contract for 200 MW wind power project

A 200 MW wind power project ordered by Inox Wind will be installed in the Gujarat state by NTPC Renewable Energy, a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC. This, along with several such projects in the future, will aid NTPC in achieving its goal of having over 60 GW of renewable energy capacity, or around 50% of its total power generating capacity, by 2032.

The project is expected to be completed by January 2024 and will be carried out entirely at the Dayapar location in Gujarat’s Kutch District.

Inox Wind will provide and install DF 113/92 – 2.0 MW capacity wind turbine generators as part of the order. These generators have a 113-meter rotor diameter and 92-meter hub height.

The common infrastructure facilities such as the 220 KV Pooling Substation at Dayapar and Extra High Voltage Transmission line has already been commissioned and thus the Project will be executed on a plug and play basis with a shorter gestation period.
