A 225 MW hybrid power facility in Rajasthan has been put into operation by Tata Power Green Energy (TPGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power.
To meet its renewable purchase obligation, Tata Power, Mumbai Distribution will receive the electricity produced by the project via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a 25-year expiration date.
This is the first hybrid project created by Tata Power and consists of 96 MW of current wind assets and 225 MW of solar power that was recently installed in Noorsar, Rajasthan. It is anticipated to provide 700 MUs of energy annually. Each year, the facility will offset around 700 million kg of CO2.
