In the second tranche of the government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) programme, as many as 11 companies, including Indosol, Reliance, and First Solar, have secured solar photovoltaic manufacturing projects with a combined 39,600 MW capacity.
According to a Power Ministry statement, the PLI Scheme for High-Efficiency Solar PV Modules (Tranche-II) has authorised the government to allot to 11 enterprises a total of 39,600 MW of domestic solar PV module production capacity with a total investment of Rs 14,007 crore.
According to the government, 7,400 MW of manufacturing capacity will be operational by October 2024, 16,800 MW by April 2025, and the remaining 15,400 MW by April 2026.
